Santa Margarita

Dr Julie Keck Olson, Ph.D. Stephanie Milne Murphy, M.A. “People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun's out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is light within.” (Elizabeth Kubler-Ross). Healing takes time. Most of our lives, we muddle through, pushing along until the suffering becomes too much to bear and we are unable to hide it any longer from ourselves and others. I believe that it is at these moments that we are our best. Everyone has it within them; sometimes they just need someone to listen and other times they need some direction and support. Here at Santa Margarita Solutions, our focus is on helping you get back to a functioning life; one that builds upon your strengths rather than looking at what is lacking. I look forward to joining you on your journey. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. In addition, I am working towards receiving my Doctoral Degree in Psychology. My approach to therapy is based on client’s expectations and goals with the emphasis of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (changing your thoughts can change your life). Through a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment, we can explore past and present stresses that may be effecting important relationships or make you feel stuck.
Center Director and Supervisor Lic. #PSY14768
Dr. Olson says, "Welcome to Santa Margarita Solutions! Having a personal therapist is like having a personal trainer for your love-life and career, ... someone who assists you to move your life forward toward your dreams and away from emotional pain and conflict.
As a therapist, I am known to be calm, peaceful, understanding, focused, inspiring, challenging, and fun. However, there are no quick cures when you are in emotional pain. I can promise you that your feelings and behavior can change and that you can achieve the goals that you want for yourself if you put into action the ideas and understanding we uncover. Creating a better life for yourself takes courage and self-awareness. You will notice as soon as you walk into the Santa Margarita Solutions Center that it is easy to focus on yourself and you will gain a feeling of calm, focused control with higher confidence."
